We are truly proud to have been involved in such a great project!
While dodging the greater than usual South-East Queensland wet weather cycle, our contractor Bryant’s have nevertheless prevailed and are making good progress on the new Yarrabilba Hotel.
We are close to having a full roof, while much of the fit out on the two levels is now underway!
More photos to come as this exciting project nears completion.
Work is now underway by Bryants Building Contractors on the brand new Yarrabilba Hotel. The site has been cleared and piling for the new undercover carpark is almost completed. We’ll post updates over the coming months as work progresses!
Refer to our Hospitality projects page here to find out what this will look like in 12 months time!
Hey look!
We’ve been busy creating a new indoor/ outdoor bar lounge area for our client, McGuires at their Calamvale Hotel and the fruits of all the hard work and effort over the past 18 months is really beginning to show!
What do you think?
We’ll post more later but completion is set for early September 2021.
Congratulations to the Porters for their win at the 2019 QHA (Queensland Hotels Association) "Awards For Excellence Dinner"! The Porters Plainland Hotel took home the award for the Best Redeveloped Licensed Premises Above $2m.
We are so honoured to have been able to work with the Porters and see them receive this industry recognition.
The Rochedale Tigers Rugby League Football Club has recently been complemented with the addition of a new female change room facility.
The project was initiated as part of a QLD State Government program to assist sport and recreation organisations to develop more inclusive female change rooms and amenities to meet the growing needs of players and club participants.
With this focus on providing better support for women’s participation in sport, this tidy and modern amenities block offers four change rooms, including toilets and showers as well as referee’s facilities.
The project was undertaken alongside Hawley Constructions and the Department of Housing and Public Works.

We’re excited to share the renovations and extensions to the Porters Plainland Hotel are now complete!
The new work has hugely expanded on the existing hotel, which was already locally renowned for its great amenity and character. This development is sure to help the hotel continue to play an important part for the community. With the surrounding area growing quickly, the Porters will now be able to host significant local events in the new function room and provide the accommodation facilities needed in the area.

There's nothing more exciting than seeing all the years of design begin to pay off as the building starts to come out from the page into reality.
The Porters Plainland Hotel is now well under way, and the site is a hive of activity.
Here the project is just starting to get out of the ground
The ground floor of the Motel is well under way, and the framing is quickly going up over the new function rooms.
It’s exciting to see - the roof is installed over the new function rooms and hotel spaces, and the blocks are quickly going up for the upper storey of the Motel.
You’ll have to use your imagination, but it’s easy to see how this wide and spacious corridor will become a feature in the new Motel.
Now that the roof is installed, it’s easier to see the shape of the new function rooms and have a greater sense of what this space will be.
Our original southern cross windmill.
In other news, Norm (the local windmill whisperer) has found us a beautiful original southern cross windmill for our project. We're excited to be finding this beauty a new home in the coming months, but you will need to wait to find out where she ends up.
We are proud to say that we have been assisting Surf Life Saving Queensland in the development of a concept ‘Centre of Excellence’.
“The proposed Centre of Excellence will not only house SLSQ’s state-wide operations and administration, it will also include world-class aquatic facilities to train and upskill surf lifesaver and lifeguards from across Queensland, Australia, and internationally.”
This is a hugely exciting project that is the culmination of many years of planning and dedication from the team at Surf Life Saving Queensland and Craig W Chandler Architects. We're looking forward to the next stages of this design, where we can continue working closely to develop this Australian-first facility to its full potential.
We’re thrilled to have our company and our work featured in the latest Esque magazine, as part of their designer profile section.
The write-up highlights a range of our work, including the Calamvale Hotel, The Paddington Hotel, right through to the recent redevelopment of the Cairns Surf Life Saving Club.
